I enjoy writing code. Much of my professional background is in 3GL programming and database design and 4GL programming. Lately, I have been dabbling in website development with PHP, HTML5, and CSS3. I am also into genealogical research and writing and the necessary task of organizing it all.
I have been Webmaster of the LifeStyle Group website since the company began in 2004, originally written in HTML5, CSS3, and PHP. The site currently runs under a contemporary Content Management System and is optimized for mobile devices.
My professional IT background is in programming and database maintenance for collegiate student records and medical auditing. In both cases, the hardware platforms were Digital Equipment Corporation VAX and Alpha machines. Sadly, the buyout of DEC by HP has led to the demise of this reliable technology!
I am also part of the PC world, having used Windows-based machines since the 1990s at home for internet access, email, bookkeeping and social media. Microsoft Word and Excel are my favorite tools. I have formal training in Microsoft subject areas and am certified as a Microsoft Certified Professional Plus Internet.
As Vice President of LifeStyle Group, I have responsibility for all computer networking, internet and telephone connectivity, and website operations. Anything that has a wire connected to it has my attention!
I am directly involved in the operations of LifeStyle Applied Business Solutions (LABS). Much of my time is occupied as a QuickBooks professional for LABS. Besides handling bookkeeping for our companies, I also help clients with bookkeeping, payroll, and reporting to State and Federal Governments.
If you like my work and would like to discuss working together on something similar, please get in touch through the contact link above!
